Dear Furry and Non-furry Friends,

While it’s hard to say goodbye, I am turning my beloved Readington Animal
Hospital over to the VERY capable hands of Dr. Jacqueline Ruskin. It has
been my pleasure and my honor to get to know and treat you and your pets
over the past 42 ½ years! I have known many of you for most of that time,
and watched your families grow, while meeting your kids, grandkids and
grand-dogs & cats! You may not realize that I am now 71 ½ years old! As
many of you know, our kids and grandkids are spread all over the country,
and I need to make more time for them. I feel that so many of you have
become friends that just happen to entrust your pets’ care to me, and will
be missed. I will be around to help with the transition over the coming
months. My wife Paula and I will continue to live in the house next door for
the near future, so we will be around for introductions and good-byes.
Thank you for your loyalty, support and friendship throughout my career.

A few words about Dr. Ruskin:

Dr. Ruskin fulfilled her childhood dream to become a veterinarian in 1998
when she, like Dr. Costlow, graduated from Cornell University School of
Veterinary Medicine. From that day forward her goal has been to improve
and extend the lives of pets with compassionate thorough care. In addition
to practicing exceptional conventional medicine, Dr. Ruskin also practices
several holistic healing modalities: acupuncture, aqua-puncture, High dose
IV vitamin C infusions, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, pulsed
electromagnetic therapy, energy medicine, and homeopathy. Dr. Ruskin
learned much of her holistic medicine skills from the famous Dr. Marty
Goldstein during a 10 year associateship in his practice. In 2019 Dr. Ruskin
was featured in the documentary film “The Dog Doc” and was a
contributing author to Dr. Marty Goldstein’s latest book “The Spirit of
Animal Healing”. She shares her home with two cats that have plenty of
cattitude and has plans to rescue another Pomeranian which will be her
eighth in a lifetime of being a pom/pom mix mom. Her favorite things to do
when she isn’t thinking about pet health are dancing, rollerskating, and
flower gardening. You will see the name “Path To Health” representing her
wide-ranging veterinary expertise.

We’re located in the heart of Hunterdon County and on the border of Somerset County, but some of our most loyal clients live in the middle of Manhattan.
